Meridian was platted in 1893 on homestead land and named for the Boise Meridian. Irrigation from the Nampa-Meridian and Settlers districts turned dry bench into farms. The Ada County Dairymen's creamery ran here from 1929 to 1970 and packed Challenge Butter. The 2020 count was 117,635 people, second in the state after Boise, and the fastest-growing city in Idaho.

Most of the housing went up in the 2000s and 2010s. North of McMillan the plats are master-planned. South of I-84 is the active new-construction belt. Choose climb, crane, or drop

Open yard on a farm edge can take a hinge and a back-cut. Most production lots cannot. We climb with a saddle and a friction hitch, hang a block, and lower on a bull rope. A crane day needs a pad, outrigger room, and a pick-weight that matches the species. Cul-de-sacs with parked cars often fail that test.

Cut, chip, and haul

Brush goes through the chipper. Logs leave, stay as firewood, or stack where you point. Haul-off is a line we add when you ask for it. A log deck in a south Meridian hammerhead is how the HOA writes you up. We keep survey pins, sprinkler heads, and laterals in the walk-through so the machine does not find them the hard way.

Stump and site after the stem
